This EP from Picture Books is a very intriguing beast. The band is coming to Dekalb (Otto’s) on April 20th and I’d have to say that this disc has me wondering what kind of a show it would be. The music here is catchy and still a bit unusual and odd.

The music here shares as much with progressive rock bands like Yes as it does with groups like Radiohead and even alternative rock acts. Every song is unique and enchanting. My only complaint is that it’s too short. I really look forward to hearing more from this act.
