Here’s the quick review – “I love this album!” Yes, I mean it. It’s almost prog rock. In fact, as Porcupine Tree and modern Radiohead are prog, so is this. It’s catchy. It’s beautiful. And yet, it’s dark and a bit dangerous, too.

The music varies between quite sedate and more energized. There are Beatles-esque bits here and there, but all of it is catchy, anyway. The production is great. This is one of the best modern pop rock albums to come across my desk in a long time. I wish there were more than five beets available here because somehow it doesn’t seem enough.

The group will be at Chubby Rain House of Tunes on April 14th. I wonder how this sound really translates live, but I bet they put on a great show either way. I’d recommend making a stop out there to any fans of modern pop rock, but I’d definitely recommend picking up the CD – immediately!
